Curriculum
English
Grade 8 students will explore life-changing novels, each carefully selected to inspire and uplift. These texts not only build character but also provide a foundation for practical and creative engagement. Through comprehension activities, students reflect on plots, characters, and themes while bringing their learning to life through projects such as designing posters, crafting theme songs, and creating character-based T-shirts.
Mathematics
Grade 8 mathematics takes a hands-on approach to deepen students’ understanding of key concepts. With the addition of Mathspace, an innovative multi-grade online tool, students can advance their skills or revise topics as needed. This program ensures maths is an engaging and meaningful way to explore the world around us.
Science
Science in Grade 8 is brought to life through experiments, independent research projects, and real-world applications. Students delve into Biological, Chemical, Earth and Space, and Physical Sciences, covering topics like cells, energy transfer, and chemical compounds. The program encourages students to design experiments and develop their own methods for recording results, fostering a passion for discovery.
HASS
History

Health

PDHPE

The Department of Education requires that you cover the full curriculum. Most families choose to cover the program by doing one lesson of Maths and English and 1 other subject per day.
Each week contains 5 lessons for Maths, 5 lessons of English, PLUS we also include lessons for all other subjects so you can choose one other subject per day. This will become a minimum of 2 other subjects per day in high school grades.
