What I’ve loved about homeschooling is the freedom for them to see me as the mother that I would like to be

Jodie Osmond

“My name is Jodie Osmond and I homeschool three children. I found out about Euka (formerly Complete Education Australia) through a friend. I went there for morning tea and she was showing me and I immediately liked it.

I was doing my own curriculum for 7 years and it was just getting overwhelming as my daughter’s got older. I was second-guessing myself, if I was covering enough information, so doing this program did all that hard work for me and I really wish that I had done it from the get-go.

I like to think that my children are very happy. What I’ve loved about homeschooling is the freedom for them to see me as the mother that I would like to be, in that we’re not rushed off our feet. I’m not trying to rush out to the bus and get lunches ready. We laugh and we talk a lot. Our communication is just constantly flying, so I think they are very happy children.”

Amelia – 15 years old

“My name is Amelia and I’m 15 years old. I love Euka (formerly Complete Education Australia). I love what we learn, a lot of what we cover and the subjects. I really like the flexibility. I can create my own routine and get my school work done and still have enough time to do other things like my hobbies. I really like art and motorbike riding.”

Lacey – 12 years old

“My name is Lacey and I’m 12 years old. When I was in Year 4, my mum started this program. I really liked it when she did that. The hobbies I enjoy are baking and drawing. I can focus more on the things I don’t understand and less on the things I do so it’s quite good.”

Jodie

“My children have excelled in certain subjects since doing Euka (formerly Complete Education Australia). Amelia my eldest daughter she struggled with math. But being able to really spend as much time as she needs to on the maths objects she’s done brilliantly. My middle daughter is mildly dyslexic and her English, reading and her vocab have all improved greatly.

From writing my own curriculum to doing Euka (formerly Complete Education Australia), it was more than what I expected. I was really impressed with everything about it. I didn’t encounter any problems with the complete education Australia program, I just tweaked where I needed to tweak to make it more individualised for my children. By choosing Euka (formerly Complete Education Australia), it is done for you. You don’t have to sit for weeks on the computer trying to come up with your own ideas and then doubt yourself all the time. It’s done for you and you know that is up to the standards for the Australian curriculum.”
