Toby’s Outdoor Adventure
Meet Toby, a Grade 6 Euka student, and his brother, who took inspiration from the book ‘My Side of the Mountain’ for their latest adventure. They embraced the outdoors, braving the rain to cook damper on a fire. This hands-on experience not only brought the book to life but also taught them valuable skills in self-reliance and outdoor cooking.
Artistic Expression Inspired by Nature
Meet Mr. D, a Grade 7 Euka student with a profound love for art. This term, he found inspiration in the works of Georgia O’Keeffe, creating a stunning piece that showcases his talent and passion for capturing the beauty of nature. This artwork, a vibrant and expressive flower, is his favourite creation of the term, reflecting his dedication and artistic growth.

Meet Mr. B, a Grade 3 Euka student, who has created an impressive piece of art inspired by the iconic style of Picasso. The article highlights how the number of homeschooled students in WA has surged by 74% since 2019, driven by various factors including the flexibility homeschooling offers and the desire for a more tailored education. Euka CEO Brett Campbell emphasised the importance of giving parents a choice in how their children are educated, reflecting the growing trend of families seeking alternatives to traditional schooling.
