Registration & Reporting in South Australia

Euka can help make your homeschooling registration and reporting in South Australia simple and stress free.
As in all States, homeschoolers in South Australia need to register with the DECD (Department of Education and Child Development) from ages 6 to 17. In South Australia you need to be enrolled in school in order to register to homeschool. Then you apply for an exemption. This process can take a month. The Principal can give you a Principal’s Exemption for a month while your application takes place.
To begin the registration process, you will need to go online to complete an application. Email Education.HomeEducation@sa.gov.au to get started.
To complete this application you will need to show your homeschooling plan. After you have submitted your application you will get a registration visit from a Home Education Officer, where they will check your homeschooling program. The application and visit process is simple and straight forward with Euka.
The Euka program includes all the topics the Department requires: English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Humanities and Social Science (includes: history, geography, civics and politics), Arts (includes: visual arts, dancing and music), Health and Physical Education, and Languages.
When using Euka we will provide you with full year documentation to include as your full year learning plans, which show when and how you will cover the Australian curriculum in every subject. We also provide you with the templates and information about how to tailor the program to fit your individual child’s needs. It is important to show how the program will be adapted. If you need additional support and guidance in this process, we offer a Government Registration Service as a premium add-on that will assist you to prepare your application with all the documentation and support you need. We also offer a premium reporting service that provides a simple and effective way of reporting that shows excellence in your child’s education.
Disclaimer: This advice has come from our years of experience in having successfully assisted thousands of students to gain Department of Education approval, in all States of Australia. – For clarification of any aspects, please contact the Department of Education in SA.
