Have you jumped into the live Maths lessons in Term 1? We have had a growing number of students finding the Euka Maths lessons helpful in gaining the confidence they need to jump into the week ahead. It is also a huge help for parents. Many of us parents let go of Maths concepts that we were taught long ago, and it can be hard to recall how to do various Maths questions. Each week our wonderful Maths teacher Caitlin runs through every lesson of the Week’s maths for the specific Grade. Students can choose to participate during the live lesson and can ask questions as Caitlin outlines each lesson and concept. If you prefer the recorded version, we post the recording of each Grade lesson, on the Euka Facebook group on Tuesday mornings.
Here is a Maths Club update from Caitlin:
“It has been great getting to know the various regular students in the weekly Maths lessons. Seeing the students becoming more comfortable asking questions is also a great bonus. In Term 2 I will be running the lessons live for the first few weeks. There will be a few weeks mid-Term where the lessons will be pre-recorded due to an unavoidable commitment. These lessons will be posted on Facebook on the Monday of those weeks. Then, back to live lessons again”.
We are currently looking at extending the Grades that have access to live Maths lessons so that we can include Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5. Stay tuned for details.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to be part of the lessons or didn’t know they were on, the following information will be invaluable.
Mondays:
Grade 6 – 12:30am – 1:00pm
Grade 7 – 1:15pm – 1:45pm
Grade 8 – 2:00pm – 2:30pm
Grade 9 – 2:45pm – 3:15pm
Grade 10 – 3:45pm – 4:15pm
Please Note: Maths Club will begin with Week 1 on the 26th April. The recorded version will be posted on Facebook on Friday 22nd as the Monday is a public Holiday.
